REARRANGED FOLLOWING COVID-19 CANCELLATION ON 27 SEPT
Belfast-based singer songwriter Anthony Toner returns to SD Bell’s. More a musician-poet than just an accomplished guitarist, his ‘Sailortown’ has become one of Northern Ireland radio’s most requested songs. He has played in Nashville many times, and shared the stage with Nanci Griffith and Guy Clark, as well as showcasing at Austin’s South by South West festival. After his acclaimed A Light Below the Door, and Miles & Weather albums, he will be showcasing his 2018 acoustic album of all-new compositions “Ink”, and his current work, Our Lady of the Wind and Rain - his ninth album of original material, which enjoyed an extensive run of tour dates through 2019. You will hear these, plus old favourites, as Anthony shares his inspiration behind the material, and entertaining stories from the road. Sit back and listen to this talented musician and wordsmith.
We are also fortunate that the superb and versatile keyboardist, John McCullough graces our stage twice in 2 weeks. It is certain to sell out. Last few tables available for this first class gig.
