SD Bell's Coffee House and Tea Rooms
It is always as delight to welcome new faces to SD Bells, and Brigid O’Neill is no exception. The Co. Down singer-songwriter has been stopping people in their tracks on both sides of the Atlantic with her new single ‘Don’t Make Me Go to Town’. Having just returned from Nashville, Tennessee, playing the iconic Bluebird Cafe, Music City Roots Show to 64 million viewers, and a series of other high profile shows, Brigid’s songwriting career has been going from strength to strength. This year she was a recipient of the prestigious Artist Career Enhancement Award from the Arts Council NI. Per BBC’s aficionado Ralph McLean “Brigid is great songwriter with a voice that break your heart at 30 paces. She understands the craft of songwriting intuitively and there’s an honesty and integrity in her work that is very special.” Her recently launched CD “Touchstone” , a suite of beautifully crafted songs, has received much airplay. She will be supported by perhaps Ireland’s greatest blues keyboardist, and no stranger to SD Bell’s, John McCullough, and the virtuoso guitarist and renowned singer-songwriter, Matt McGinn.
