The month of April coffees are:
200g Seven Seas – ‘Old Brown Java‘ is the industry term given to coffee from this part of Indonesia. A strong ‘three-quarter’ roasted Arabica coffee, well-balanced with chocolate notes Great Taste winning coffee.
200g Decaf City Roast – A Mountain Water processed, Central American Arabica. It has been roasted until well after the medium roast ‘1st crack’, at which the expanding bean is also heard to ‘pop’ in the roasting drum, but just before the dark roast ‘2nd crack, so it is less bitter than the darkest roasts but extremely satisfying as an after-dinner espresso. A GT winner.
200g Mexican – A medium roast with floral and honey flavour notes, with a characteristic sweetness. GREAT TASTE AWARD-WINNING in 2021!!
200g Brazil Yellow Bourbon – A first-class bean from Rio Verde, a farm established in 1887, the same year in which our great-grandfather Samuel hung his name above the door of his Ann Street shop. Well-screened Arabica, giving a sweet, fruity aroma with notes of sugar cane. Superb! A Two Star Great Taste Winner in 2019.
